When our boats are tossed on the rough wild seas of life, we always yearn for the safe harbour of loving arms, a welcome if we are outcast and solid safe ground on which to land. This painting describes that safe ground personified: she is land and safe harbour and the people all at sea are reaching toward her for help. All through the image shine stars of a light that we all remember and toward which we steer our craft. This light can be seen in the sky and the land-spirit's tears, it is on the crests of the waves and surrounding the golden sanctuary at the centre, but most important of all, the light shines at the heart of each person, guiding them when they are most lost and in need of refuge.

Printed on 100% recycled 260gsm (card weight) parchment-coloured Context Birch paper. A beautiful quality warm and earthy print. The paper has very fine inclusions in it, giving it a handmade feel.
On the back is printed the title and details of the image.
The last picture shows you the image most clearly; though the actual paper background is cream/off-white which gives the image an added warmth, as you can see in the first photos.
SANCTUARY is available in two sizes: A4 (11.7" x 8.27") and 7" x 5"
It will come packed carefully in a cellophane sleeve and a sturdy envelope.
