We will be bringing Between to the FITM talks stage where we will focus on the radical possibilities - both personally and politically - there are to be found in reconnecting with the power of our deep imagination.
Fire in the Mountain is a festival, a party, a camp, a group of friends and a shared dream.
Rooted on an ancient farm that nestles between the Cambrian mountains and beautiful Cardigan bay - every summer we throw a small and much-loved music festival while red kites soar in the skies above.
We explore new and old folk culture, we celebrate creativity of all kinds and we seek the friendly spirits of mischief and joy. This is a festival where the land holds the heart - and we, the people, craft a kaleidoscope of beautiful experiences around it.

Rima and Danny will bring Between to Music Magic Myth festival …
Deep in the French countryside, in the ruins of a 19th century industrial farm known as La Briche, the third edition of the Rites of Spring is manifesting: a ritualistic rave organized by the Music Magic Myth gang.
This is an invitation to inhabit our creative sanctuary for 72 hours of music magic and myth. Our home becomes yours: a place where technodelic sounds meets Dionysian ritualistic oriented people.

Danny & Rima will be bringing BETWEEN to the table at THE LAST SUPPER CLUB: A Feast of Inner Alchemy & Sacred Union hosted by Darren Le Baron in collaboration with the Psychedelic Society.
Hosted at a private venue in Stoke Newington, Hackney, The Last Supper Club is a seasonal ritual-theatrical banquet and immersive cultural experience. Through food, story, sound, and ceremony, guests are guided along a mythic journey of communion, descent, death, and rebirth.
This is not a lecture. This is not ceremony-as-usual.
This is a living, breathing psychedelic cabaret—where ancient myth meets with modern nightlife, where entertainment becomes initiation, and where the shared table transforms into an altar of imagination, connection, and renewal.

I will be presenting a short online talk at the Oddity and Strangeness Conference convened by the marvellous London Arts Based Research Centre entitled - Spirit Lines - The Vitality of Imperfection.
I'm very excited about this - if you've followed my work for a long time you will know that my focus has always circled round the uncanny and the strange, the edge-places and edge-people. This talk elaborates my research into cultural and arts practices that illuminate for us why the outliers are important. The conference spans two days, and all the presentations will be fascinating, I'm sure.

The Otherworld (whether we believe in it or not) is a place we all wonder about, long for and recognise whenever we set foot there. It holds sought-after inspiration and insight for us - both individually and collectively - and the ways there are many and varied.
Join renegade consciousness researcher and hypnotist Danny Nemu and artist-magician of the liminal realms Rima Staines to explore the different mannerisms and mechanisms of the imagination as the powerful threshold-crossing vehicle it is.

We are excited to be bringing this new offering to Crops Not Shops Sacred Earth Roots & Culture Gathering this Solstice weekend and then subsequently elsewhere. (Follow and sign up to our newsletters for first news of events in your neck of the woods...) -
6-7pm. 26th July 2025
Green Hill Arts Moretonhampstead, Devon
Once upon a time art and magic were considered very close disciplines, if not one and the same thing. Over time we have embraced rational thought and relegated art to a nice place above the mantelpiece.
Rima Staines is a life-long artist whose otherworldly work focuses on the crossroads between art, magic, and folklore, and whose current Amulet-making project explores the threshold-crossing role of an artist as well as what it means to turn the magic of her own art upon herself.
Terri Windling is an award-winning author, artist and folklorist whose own work has also centred on these mythic borderlands.
You are invited to join Terri and Rima as they wander in conversation through the wonderland-realms of art and magic and discuss the beautiful, wild and vital powers that an artist is tasked with harnessing under their paintbrush, and ask: How can we reignite our creative life with the uncanny paradigm-upturning power it once held?
